    Abstract
This policy briefing note is part of a broader study designed to provide country-specific evidence for Uganda on the immediate, medium- and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and related mitigation measures and policy responses on Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). It is the first wave of a planned panel study aimed at tracking how MSME situations evolve during COVID-19 and in post-COVID-19 periods. The note analyzed COVID-19 effects on enterprise operations and performance, business recovery, effects on employment in the MSME sector, and business enterprise resilience
