This report consists of analyses and conclusions based on the material presented in two previous reports concerning the Group Ranch Development Programme in Kaputiei Section of Kenya Maasailand, The interrelated sociological and ecological factors are examined which have led the Kaputiei Maasai to continue their traditional semi-nomadic practices instead of settling on their group ranches. In addition, the issue of whether the successes of the pilot scheme on Poka group ranch, can be replicated on the other group ranches in Kaputiei Section is analysed in detail.
