dc.description.abstractAn intensive study within Ndwedwe, one of the magisterial districts in the Three Rivers District in Natal. The relationship between people and land , a broad outline of the social structure of the African rural communities chosen, with special reference to an analytical study of leadership are the areas of focus. Rights to land and water and the utilization of natural resources and legal, magico-religious and economic bases in African society are described and analysed.en
