A clinical study of the nutritional status of children under 5 years of age, in rural Zambia.en
In 1987 in three regions around the Kamoto Hospital, Zambia, the nutritional status of under-fives was studied to investigate the prevalence of malnutrition and some of its possible contributing factors, such as maternal education and the immunization status of the children. The main aim of the study was to confirm the clinical impression of a different nutritional status in the tree regions and to get more information about the contributing factors for those differences. The regions differ in socioeconomic level and distance from the hospital.en
