Abstract
This report builds on the contributions to a workshop organised by the International Department and the Middle East Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) in collaboration with Ashoka University (India) and the Economic Research Forum (Egypt). It was funded by the ESRC-DFID Joint Fund for Poverty Alleviation Research as part of a project on gender and labour market dynamics in West Bengal (2016-2019).
