This Reality Check Approach (RCA) study is the second of a series of such studies which involve living with people living in poverty for several days and nights in their own homes in selected Millennium Villages Project (MVP) ‘treatment’ and ‘control’ villages. The study approach is intended to create the best possible conditions for informal and relaxed interaction, conversations, observation and experience of people’s everyday lives. The first study was conducted in April 2013 and this one, which involved staying with the same families as we stayed with in 2013, was completed two years later in May 2015.en
