This chapter reviews a recent proposal along the lines of central place theory to build Rural Service Centres (RSC.) in Zimbabwe’ s Tribal Trust Lands. It concludes that a less concrete, more organic approach would promise not only greater returns to physical investment; but would provide the outline to a more Integrated approach (IP) to the provision of services to local market development and regional specialization and to community' expression and functioning.
