In discussing the relationship between intellectuals in socialist countries and those in the Third World countries it is imperative to underline-certain historical facts. For one, real socialism as a practical socio-economic formation emerged only 70.years ago with the Great October Socialist Revolution. 70 years in the life of any known historical epoch is an insignificant time period.
