<table><tr><td><p dir="ltr"><b>Small piped water systems in rural areas are found in various countries including Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Senegal and Uganda</b>. Systems vary in size and the population served, with scheme types including those with a single communal distribution point, scheme with multiple communal distribution points, schemes with multiple distribution points and household connections, and multi-village schemes.</p><p dir="ltr">This review evaluates some of the factors that contribute to the sustainability of small piped water systems in rural areas.</p></td></tr></table><p></p>
