Research on pastoralism at IDS spans 50 years, since Jeremy Swift started his PhD on Tuareg pastoral livelihoods in northern Mali. This bibliography pulls together publications – including academic pieces alongside reports and briefings – over this period produced by IDS academic staff and PhD students, published before, during or since their time at the Institute.
This bibliography is part of the PASTRES (Pastoralism, Uncertainty, Resilience: Global Lessons from the Margins) project, www.pastres.org, which has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (Grant agreement No. 740342).
