Most Effective Health System Strengthening Interventions in Fragile and Conflict Affected States (FCAS)

The rapid evidence review highlights the challenges faced by countries like South Sudan, which suffers from a weak healthcare system due to ongoing conflict. It emphasises the need for health system strengthening (HSS) and resilience, despite limited research in these settings. Available evidence highlights the importance of enhancing local decision-making, integrating nutritional programs, expanding community outreach, and mobilising external funding. The review also underscores the importance of innovative research approaches and building trust among stakeholders to address these challenges effectively.
