The paper considers the importance of specific kinds of labour market data as an input to the planning of industrial training. Methods of collection are discussed with special attention on forecasting methods actually used by firs. Several data and survey activities of the Kenya government are considered and suggestions are made for possible improvements through reorganization and interagency cooperation.
