report
posted on 2025-05-09, 08:26 authored by Marc Ayoub, Ahmad Diab

This policy brief explores the role of Lebanon’s MSMEs in the energy transition amid economic and energy crises. With unreliable electricity and limited financial support, many MSMEs are adopting renewable energy, particularly solar, despite high costs and regulatory barriers. Drawing from surveys and interviews, the study highlights MSMEs’ resilience and offers policy recommendations to enhance renewable energy adoption, support productive sectors, restore institutional trust, and improve climate risk assessment.
