This report covers the emerging evidence from the integration of climate change concerns into peacebuilding and humanitarian programming. The review starts with an outline of the general effect of climate change on both peacebuilding and humanitarian work before delving into insights from a selection of programmes implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa that have a climate change component. The key lessons, opportunities and challenges of incorporating environmental and climate change into programmes are described throughout the review. Although there is some academic and grey literature on the intersection of climate change concerns with humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts, the evidence base is limited.
