This paper gives first a brief outline of the development
of family planning services in Kenya, including the development of
official policy. It then describes the present population planning
services under the headings: organization; operations; plans for
the future; research and evaluation; private efforts; educational
efforts; foreign assistance. The final section mentions the anticipated
strengthening of the program by the introduction of the five year
family planning plan, and stresses the need for the development
of suitable curricula on population education.
