An assessment of policies affecting the financial sector, 1986-1988

This paper assesses the performance of the Aquino government in the financial sector. The first section presents the major policies and strategies outlined by the government. This is followed by a section that describes and analyzes the actions taken by the government in relation to the policies and strategies earlier spelled out. The third section assesses quantitatively the results of the policies and strategies adopted by the government in the financial sector. The fourth section discusses some policy issues that need to be addressed Dy the government.
