Ethiopian More Focused Covid-19 Country Profile

The COVID-19 pandemic also known as the corona virus pandemic, is a highly expanding global pandemic first emerged in Wuhan City Hubei Province China in December 2019. This global pandemic was declared as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and then announced a pandemic on 11 March. As of Early October, more than 40 million cases of COVID-19 have been reported in more than 188 countries, resulting in more than 1 million deaths and over 30 million recoveries. The COVID-19 pandemic was reported to spread to Africa on 14 February 2020. The first confirmed case being in Egypt. Ethiopia reported the first case on 13 March 2020. The National Government of the country let by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed declared a five-month state of emergency in April 2020 by still allowing economic activities to continue during this public health crisis. As of October 2020, there has been over 80,000 confirmed cases and more than 1,000 deaths in the country.
