Researchers funded by the NIHR Global Health Research Programme are expected to involve patients and the public in planning, implementation and evaluation of their research. The community engagement links, resources, references and learning offered here are an attempt to give research teams and funding applicants a starting point for thinking critically about the assumptions and expectations they might carry with them as they embark on what might be a new way of working, or a well-honed way of working that is being tested in a new geographic context.
