The aim of this paper is two fold. Firstly, it intends to review the current teaching practice programme for academic students at the Belvedere Technical Teachers' College Secondly, the paper intends to suggest an alternative programme for the students The need for this paper has been prompted by the need to improve the quality of leacher training in general and of teaching practice for academic students in particular.
