This paper explores and examines two closely linked issues relevant to livestock production in Zimbabwe's Communal Lands (CLs). The first centres on problems peculiar to the measurement of the economic benefits of "subsistence" or "semi- commercialized" livestock production systems. The second focuses on our understanding of the distribution of these benefits.
A conference paper on the commercial benefits of livestock production in rural Zimbabwe.
