The Living Off-Grid Infrastructure Collaboration (LOGIC) is a UKRI Global Challenges Research (GCRF)-funded project which is designed to bring together our thinking on how infrastructure can shape the food and nutritional security of urban marginalised populations. LOGIC is a collaboration between the Institute of Development Studies; the African Centre for Cities, University of Cape Town; the Indian Institute of Human Settlements, Bangalore; Colombo Urban Lab and the University of Ghana, Accra and explores urban infrastructure in cities across Africa and Asia. The research focuses particularly on how the poorest residents of cities meet their basic needs and access infrastructure when they are living ‘off-grid’.
